If the traveler in your life flies commercially, this pocket organizer keeps stuff easy to find and within reach making it a unique and thoughtful gift.
Earbuds are a great way to listen to podcasts, audiobooks, music or even watch videos on your device while on a plane, vehicle or even sharing a room with others. These Mickey Mouse earbuds are an affordable option. I like them for when I don’t want to risk losing my high end earbuds.
Hotels have improved over the years now that we all have multiple electronic devices to charge up overnight by offering multiple charging sources, but sometimes lag behind with the most up to date connectors or some of the outlets are not functioning. When I solo travel, usually having a wireless charging pad is enough for me. However, if I am with my family or a group I find a charging station necessary. This one has AC, USB-A, and USB-C and is on the smaller side so it doesn’t take up too much real estate in your luggage.
Charging needs do not stop while you are in the parks! For that, I have had great success with the Apple Air Magsafe battery. No cord is required. I have tried a few versions of power packs for park use and this has been by far my favorite. It has a strong connection to your phone so you don’t have to hold it in place. I have an iPhone, so I am unable to speak to its use with other models.
If you are a Magic Band user (and I hope you are). This security band is a must have. For added fun, you can get glow in the dark versions. Having one has especially come in handy when I wear a back pack or a jacket that I take on and off throughout the day over my wrist.
Sometimes despite our best efforts, work is required while on vacation. Not only is that inconvenient in and of itself, but also you don’t have your cushy set up that you have at the office. The Logitech pop-up desk kit is a game changer especially if you are hunting around the hotel room to prop up your computer to hop on a virtual meeting. I work best with an extra screen. The portability and size of this one is convenient. I would suggest a sleeve if you are traveling with it to protect from damage.
Let’s talk fashion and park gear. First, it goes without saying that a Loungefly is a good choice for a bag. There are so many options and styles and characters to choose from and they have become collectors items as well. If you are buying a gift for a Loungefly enthusiast, this insert organizer is both functional and fun. Ears are essential to my park fit, but I do not want to risk losing them. This earband holder attaches to your bag and keeps them safe on the fastest of rides. Back to that park fit. Did you know Amazon has a Disney t-shirt shop? Many of the designs come in different styles including mens, womens and kids as well as various colors. I recently got this Living with the Land shirt that I absolutely adore.
There is much debate over the best shoes to wear on a long park day where you might be walking more that 20,000 steps. It makes sense that there are so many opinions and options. Everyone’s feet are different. For me, Chaco’s flip flops are the clear winner with Crocs as the runner up. I recommend taking two different kinds of shoes and alternating throughout your trip to minimize the risk of blisters, but if you happen to get one, moleskin will protect the sensitive spot and keep you going.
I like to bring some first aid/over the counter medicines with me when I travel for my own comfort. These make great stocking stuffers for travelers. Disney has first aid stations that will give you meds in a pinch; however, it is more convenient to bring your own. I usually travel with band aids, Sudafed for congestion, Ibuprofen for general pain relief, ginger rescue for digestion, Supergoop sunscreen and Ultima replenisher packets for dehydration.
Speaking of hydration. A water bottle is a great gift idea. Check out High Quality H20 Vessels for a deeper dive. I will mention 3 here. The first is the S’well. This one gets top marks for insulation and keeps your water cold all day. The wide mouth allows for easy filling including ice from your resort quick-service restaurant. The Owala is versatile with both straw or sip features. It comes in fun colors, some even based on Disney characters. It is insulated, but not quite up to S’well’s. Finally, if you prefer to travel light, a collapsible option, the Stojo, is nice. It is not insulated; however, so if keeping water cold is necessary, choose one of the other two.
If you are a straw person, but want to avoid the paper straw or the inconvenience of carrying a stainless straw, Go Sili is an awesome choice. We take these universal drink covers and silicone straws everywhere with us for my son who needs a lid and straw on his drinks. They even come in a handy case; however, sometimes the tin might show up in the scan when you enter a park, so I prefer to use a Stasher bag instead. They are a great alternative to plastic bags. Not only are they reusable; they are more durable than a disposable version.
A poncho is my final great gift idea for the Disney traveler in your life. I have yet to find the perfect one, so please, if you have a recommendation, reach out and let me know! I will add it to the list. Happy shopping!
