What's Next?

I am a terrible sales person. I don’t want to bother anyone. I do not enjoy being sold to. I really dislike negotiating of any sort. I like shopping online. I add what I need to a cart, the price is what it is and in a few clicks it is on its way. I mostly find brands I like and then shop from the same places. 

I am happy to take a recommendation from a friend or family, but please don’t try to convince me. High pressure activates my inner rebel. Have a suggestion for me? A mention is all I need. My only request is that if it is a show, let me know where to stream it. If I have to go searching for it I likely will never watch it.

Some people are natural at sales and others have to be passionate about what they are selling. I am the latter. If I am going to be successful at selling anything, it will be Disney. In 2023, I decided to step out of my comfort zone and sign up to be a Magical Vacation Planner.

After all to relieve stress I would build Disney trips. I would sometimes build fantastical trips I would never be able to afford and other times see how cheap I could possibly go for and many options in between.

I made a promise to myself to at least give it 3 years. I started the training program and posting on social media. And then life happened. Circumstances beyond my control took my energy and as much as I would like to think that was the reason, I have to admit to myself that I was also full of fear to do something unstable where I had to put myself out there. The fear is also wrapped in imposter syndrome. Feeling like there is no way I could be successful at this thing that I very much enjoy. I love working with people to book their vacations. I feel energized to learn things I didn’t know about and pass along the knowledge I have. The pinnacle is saving people money on their trips and spending my time on their trips so they can save theirs. 

So if you have already done the math, 2026 is my third year. I am still an MVP, but not at the level I was hoping. I guess my life is not going to slow down the way I thought so that I could focus on building my business. Despite and maybe because of this realization I am pushing forward. I chose HUSTLE as my word of the year for 2026, so LET”S GO!
